While this isn't one of the new editions, it is a change to the beloved TRD Pro model. Lunar Rock is the new color that is replacing the Army Green option for this specific trim. In order to continue to honor people who love spending their weekends outside, Toyota has officially introduced the 2021 Tacoma Trail Special Edition. This edition comes with black exterior badging, all-weather floor liners, Dark Gray 16-inch TRD Off-Road wheels, Kevlar All-Terrain tires, a 12-volt power outlet in the bed, and even lockable bed storage. You'll also find a drain plug on the driver side, and black seating with tan stitching.
What about the Nightshade Edition?
The other special edition model that we're checking out is the 2021 Tacoma Nightshade Edition. This model is made for people who really want to step up luxury, especially since it is built on top of the Limited model with the addition of a black exterior trim and black-leather trim seating. You'll find other features like Dark Smoke 18-inch alloy wheels, a new darkened-chrome grille insert design, fog light bezels, black exhaust tip, and even the option between 2WD and 4WD.
