The all-new 2021 Toyota 4Runner is here! The ultimate family-oriented, off-road capable, heavy-hauling vehicle is back, and this time with a special edition! The 2021 4Runner slid into the 2021 model year with several TRD Pro enhancements across the whole line-up. The TRD Pro will not only be introduced as the first model of its kind, but will arrive with a new body color, Lunar Rock, that will be replacing the previous year's Army Green, and will do so turning heads and dropping jaws.  Keep reading below while we go through the fascinating changes and upgrades to the all-new Toyota 4Runner.

Trail Special Edition

Sure! You'll be riding in luxurious comfort in all models of the 4Runner. As the driver, you can expect maximum comfort due to the highly adjustable driving position that gives you full view from way above other SUVs of this size.  In the front and the back, you'll have more than enough legroom, and visibility is great with limited blind spots due to the enormity of the front and rear windows. In the front cabin, you'll find a touchscreen and easy access to a great audio system that makes it convenient for drivers to navigate their smart device and car with shortcuts that make it easy with the touch of a button.  The tech system inside supports Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto, and is equipped with cruise control that adapts to traffic as well as forward collision mitigation!  With a whopping 89.7 cu.ft. of cargo room, you can pack anything you could need for a weekend getaway including sleeping bags, which would roll out with ease to make the trunk of your 4Runner a great sleeping spot in a pinch!

The 4Runner has a lot of amazing features that come standard on every model, such as adaptive cruise control that can keep a set distance between you and the vehicle in front of you, lane departure warning which will tell you if your 4Runner starts drifting into another lane and gently corrects your alignment, and forward collision mitigation that will alert you of an impending collision, and if your reaction time is not fast enough to stop, will implore the brakes for you! Under the hood of every 4Runner, you'll find a 4.0-liter V6 engine that delivers 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque! The engine is matched with a five-speed automatic transmission, and are standard with four-wheel drive.  Models that have the option for two-wheel drive are the SR5, Trail Special Edition, and Limited. These same models can also seat up to seven passengers. Every 4Runner also comes equipped with a touchscreen and Apple/Android compatibility.

Sure! There are a total of nine different models available for the 4Runner! Starting out is the SR5 that comes with 17-inch wheels, roof rails, power rear windows, LED headlights, 40/20/40-split reclining and folding second-row seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 120-volt power outlet in the rear cargo area. The next two trims, Trail Special Edition, and SR5 premium, are based on the SR5: the Trail Special Edition has a Yakima roof rack, portable beverage cooler, and dark-painted exterior trim and wheels, while the SR5 Premium has simulated leather upholstery, heated front seats, keyless ignition and entry, auto-dimming rearview mirror and an optional sunroof! Also similar to the SR5, but with off-roading equipment are the TRD Off-road and the TRD Off-road Premium. Both models have upgraded and additional drive settings for off-road excursions, and a locking rear differential! To improve wheel articulation while on uneven terrain, there is an optional Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System available.  The Venture Special Edition adds to the TRD Off-Road Premium with a Yakima roof rack, black exterior accents, and gray-painted TRD wheels with all-terrain tires!  Onto the last two trims, we have the Limited which is meant to be the 4Runners luxury model.  The Limited comes with 20-inch wheels, a sunroof, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, chrome exterior accents, a navigation system, a premium JBL sound system, and is propped on a different suspension complete with 4WD to make the ride more comfortable for everyone.  If you like the sound of this ride but want just a little more, try out the Limited Nightshade Edition which has black-painted wheels and black exterior trim.  Finally, the TRD Pro, a vehicle for true off-roaders, with all of the luxuries of the limited and an additional off-road suspension with Fox dampers, TRD wheels with all-terrain tires, special front skid plate, and a TRD roof rack!
