2021 Toyota Mirai Revealed

Toyota has always raises the bar with its technological features and the 2021 Mirai is no exception. Every trim of the Mirai comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 14-speaker JBL sound system. Behind the steering wheel sits an 8-inch color TFT LCD digital gauge cluster that displays your speedometer, drive mode, fuel-efficiency, and more. You also get a wireless smartphone charging tray on every trim of the Mirai. XLE versions of the Mirai get dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and power-folding mirrors. Limited versions add to this with a head-up display, three-zone automatic climate control, a rear touchscreen control panel with climate control function, rear sunshade toggle, and a birds-eye-view camera. The Limited also sees an Intelligent Park Assist System to help you in and out of parking spaces.

Toyota vehicles are famous for adopting the Automatic Emergency Breaking System ever since it made advanced safety features standard on all trims and its standard here as well for the Mirai. The Mirai is also one of three Toyota models to have the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which is the next phase of the companies' wonderful safety packages. Included is a Pre=Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, which comes with multiple enhancements. It's now possible for the system to detect the vehicle ahead and the preceding bicyclist and pedestrians. At certain intersections, the system can detect an oncoming vehicle or pedestrian when taking a left turn and provide audio and visual alerts and automatic braking in certain situations. Also available is a Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System, which is activated above 30 miles per hour and performs vehicle-to-vehicle distance control down to 0 mph. There is also a new future to this system, which allows for greater acceleration when changing lanes. Upon changing lanes, the system will continue to accelerate until it reaches the pre-set speed. Lane Keeping Assist and automatic high-beams are also apart of this innovative package.

Accentuating the Mirai's imposing presence is a brand-new Hydro blue color scheme which has never been seen before on a Toyota. The new color is bright and deep and provides the Mirai with a slick look. This exclusive color is specific to the Limited trim, but another new color, Heavy Metal, will be available on all trims. Another amazing option is the 20-inch super chrome finish aluminum-wheels available on the Limited, though the XLE comes with spectacular 19-inch twin-spoke aluminum wheels. Inside the cabin, the XLE has Black SofTex®-trimmed heated seats with grey stitching, while the Limites sees black or white heated and ventilated seats. You also get panoramic moonroof panels with a power sliding shade and a power shade for the rear window.
