2018 Toyota Camry vs 2018 Honda Accord near Prince William, VA

These two sedans are top of their class! The 2018 Toyota Camry with a complete redesign, not only inside, but out. The 2018 Camry comes with a longer wheelbase, a revised suspension, and two new stylish themes for the various trim levels. The Honda Accord has shrunk itself in 2018 with a loss in height and length. A new suspension has been upgraded to improve comfort or performance, the catch is, you can only choose one.

2018 Toyota Camry Power & Handling

The Camry offers two engine options. The first is a 2.5-liter inline-4 with 203 horsepower and the second engine is a 3.5-liter V6 with 301 horsepower. Both of these engines come with an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission. The first engine also has an impressive EPA fuel economy rating of 29/41 miles per gallon!

2018 Honda Accord Power & Handling

The Accord comes with the choice of two engine options. The first is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 with 192 horsepower. The second engine is a 2-liter turbocharged inline-4 with 252 horsepower. Both engines can be paired to a CVT automatic transmission, a ten-speed automatic, or a six-speed manual. The top fuel economy rating from the EPA can be found on the first engine with a total of 30/33 miles per gallon. 

2018 Toyota Camry Features & Design

Five trim levels are available on the Camry: L, LE, SE, XSE, and the XLE. Each trim builds off the previous with the SE and LE splitting off into their own ladders with the XLE and XSE being separate leader trims. The LE focuses on a more basic level with the XLE adding further luxury, while the SE focuses more on the driving capability and the XSE adds luxury onto this as well. 

2018 Honda Accord Features & Design

Six trims: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L Navi, and the Touring are all available options to the Accord. Very limited features are available to the base trim. Many standard safety features are in place, but those can be also found standard on the Camry. Additional features like heated seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are available as add-ons. 

Conclusions

While the Accord does hold a fairly strong stand in the sedan class, the Camry takes the lead with its better engine choices, more distinct trim levels, and its wonderful fuel economy.
